DIY POWER-RAIL and POWER RAIL Expansion for 12Volt ,-12Volt ,5Volt
Expandable Power Rail especially for small and medium module systems in Eurorack format .
BASIC POWER RAIL:
the basic version contains eight connectors for the power supply 12 Volt , - 12 Volt , +5 Volt , GND of the modules.
Gate and CV can be looped through or interrupted by jumpers to route other signals over the rail. The connections 12 Volt , - 12 Volt , +5 Volt and GND for the connection of a power supply are available. On request the cables can be plugged or soldered on the POWER RAIL.
Due to the dimensions 20,5 cm x 4 cm it is also suitable for small Euroracks . the basic Power-Rail is completed by three fuses and three power - LEDs
Kit EXPANSION RAIL
POWER EXPANSION BOARD:
The Power EXPANSIN BOARD extends the Basic Board by eleven additional power supplies for your modules. The EXPANSION BOARD can be simply plugged into the left or right side of the BASIC BOARD.
Thus a combination of Basic and 2x EXPANSION BOARD can provide thirty connections for the power supply of your modules. A maximum current of 1.5 Ampere should not be exceeded.
Example for the BASIS and EXPANSION Board
One kit contains:
- all components, plugs, sockets, LEDS and resistors and 5mm spacer.
- we supply 2 A fuses but they should be adapted to your power supply.
( if a power supply can only deliver 1 A maximum M 1 A fuses should be used ).
A word about the fuses .
Switch mode power supplies have built-in electronic fuses. There a fuse means a 2nd protection. It is not good for the modules to be switched on/off/on quickly one after the other.
The fuse simply burns out and you can search the error in peace.
Transformer related power supplies may not have a current limit. With these power supplies fuses are very useful to protect the modules - How quickly it happens that a module was accidentally reversed in polarity.
