Firmware update

The firmware can be updated by playing back a special audio file to the CHANGE CV in jack.

To update the firmware:

  • Download the current firmware image here malaclypseJr_v1.0.wav
  • Connect an audio player to the CHANGE CV in jack
  • Turn the power on
  • The LED will start to flash green for a short moment
  • If the switch is moved during this time, the firmware update mode is started and the flashing turns red.
  • Start the playback of the firmware audio file
  • The LED will change to a slow green flash while the firmware update is in progress
  • When the audio file has finished the module will reboot with the new firmware.
  • A constant red LED indicates a read error. Probably your output volume is too low.
  • You can move the switch to try again.
  • If the LED just goes off, your audio volume is too low, too. Amplify the signal and try again.
  • Some audio players are not loud enough. In that case use an additional amplyfier/mixer between your player and the module.
